About

In an ongoing experiment with pixel manipulation, Solarized Capture alters the RGBA value of every pixel based on a brightness threshold. My goal in this sketch was to recreate a Photoshop effect called Solarize. Using java, I divided pixel brightness values of a video capture into several categories and assigned new color values to them that most closely matched the solarize effect. In the live sketch, an interactive input allows the user to modify the threshold values.
